Center for Health Security welcomes Dr. Erin Sorrell as Senior Scholar

February 6, 2023 – The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security is excited to welcome Erin Sorrell, PhD, MSc to our team.  

Dr. Sorrell joins the Center as a Senior Scholar and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health as an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering.

A researcher and practitioner, Dr. Sorrell focuses on developing and applying methodologies to map, assess, and address the structure and function of health systems.

At the Center, she will contribute to several ongoing projects, as well as lead a portfolio of work that combines basic science, biosafety, and health systems strengthening to address infectious disease threats.  

She is an alumna of the Center’s Emerging Leaders in Biosecurity Initiative (ELBI) fellowship.
