Professional Profile
Dr. Smith is a Contributing Scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security through the Institute for AI Policy and Strategy. His work at the Center will focus on the intersection of artificial intelligence and biosecurity. Dr. Smith brings consulting experience from McKinsey & Company and recently worked at Microsoft on cybersecurity as a senior product manager. He completed his PhD in molecular and cellular biology at David Baker's lab at the University of Washington, researching computational enzyme design.
