New Addendum 2021 Report: COVID-19 Planning Guide and Self-Assessment Toolkit for Higher Education

July 30, 2021 – The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, Tuscany Strategy Consulting, and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation have released a 2021 addendum to their report “COVID-19 Planning Guide and Self-Assessment for Higher Education Globally.”

The updated 2021 guide and accompanying self-assessment calculator are designed to provide practical planning resources to help higher education institutions gauge how effectively they are addressing a range of COVID-19 scenarios in the 2021 academic year.

This Summer 2021 addendum includes the following updates:

  • New COVID-19 Self-Assessment Calculator for Higher Education
    This revised Risk Calculator and Mitigation Evaluation reflects advances in vaccines and places greater emphasis on ventilation and less emphasis on extensive sanitation procedures.
     
  • New COVID-19 Summer 2021 Addendum for Higher Education
    Provides highly pertinent websites and resources related to: Vaccines and vaccine policies; international students; and, managing student cohorts.

The new resources are available at OpenSmartEDU.org. The tools are intended to accommodate a wide range of higher education institutions: public, private, large, small, comprehensive, specialized, urban, and rural.
